PART 1 - 1500cc BANGERS - 25th January:
The first part of the Icebreaker was once again for the under 1500cc Bangers, and around 140 cars came to take part. Despite some rather wet and slippery conditions, the drivers put on an excellent show, and the racing was certainly action packed. With some classic cars, and smart paint jobs thrown in, this DVD makes for some very entertaining viewing. Pretty much all the action is caught on camera, with the races edited from 2 main High Definition 16:9 widescreen angles, with an extra 2 cameras used for the action replay, including an infield camera for ultra close up shots! A full length DVD of 2 hours.
PART 2 - UNLIMITED BANGERS - 1st February:
The 2009 Unlimited Banger Icebreaker again saw around 140 big cars take to the shaleway, and with a brilliantly prepared track, there are many big crashes to be seen. With cool material, paint jobs, sideways racing and big action, this DVD has it all. Again filmed in HD and features introduction, driver interviews, pit shots, all races are a 2-camera HD edit and feature the live event commentary. Plus on board footage from Dan Weeks' hearse looking backwards! This is especially cool when he rolls over and has Glyn Plats come in the back flat out in the final! Another full length DVD of 2 hours of one of the best Unlimited Banger events you will see anywere.

High Definition Blu-ray Version:
For the first time ever, a full Banger Racing event is available on blu-ray! These full HD 1080 discs can be played on a Playstation 3 or Blu-ray disc player. When linked to an HD ready television, produce far clearer pictures, much brighter colours and a lot more detail. For the Icebreaker, 90% of the production is filmed in HD, with all the interviews, pit shots, all the races and most of the wrecks shown in full HD. Our extra standard definition camera angles are used for the replays and the on-board footage is standard def. Because we can get slightly more footage onto a blu-ray disc, we have also included around 15 minutes of highlights from the Unders Icebreaker at the end. This is a mixture of the best cars and paint, all the crashes filmed in HD, and the best wreck shots.
We hope producing a blu-ray of the complete Unlimited Banger event, plus highlights from the Unders gives you the new technology, while still being good value for money. The future is here!!
